This reverse roadmap will take the country backward

The new education policy declared by BJP-led central government will...

1) Deprive poor and backward categories from English education

2) Increase the gap between the 'haves' and 'have nots'

3) Make it more costly for middle class and the poor to access education

4) Destroy the base of equality in education

5) Reduce number of teachers. Deprive subjects of their respective subject teachers

6) Constrict aided education

7) Destroy the diversity of languages

8) Bring in more options for those willing to spend for education and leave only option of becoming skilled labours to those who do not have adequate means

9) Kill creativity and diversity and will use the 90 crore people only as labourers in this era of globalisation

The very concept of equal and just education is being torn down by introducing this new education policy. Education is brought in the name of human resources development, but this new policy views the majority only as labourers. This is not a roadmap to take the country forward, instead it will take the nation backward.
